The Institute for the Application of Information Technology and Advanced Communications - ITACA Association, is a Technology Center of R+D and Innovation as a business association established by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the IMPIVA, the Generalitat Valenciana and various relevant sector companies such as Iberdrola, Tissat, Vodafone, Fermax, Chillida, etc. For the promotion and development of applications of Information Technology and Communication (ICT).

Among its aims are technological advice to businesses and the development of R + D and innovation, being a center of excellence in research, development, innovation and technological upgrading of ICT, with a vocation for transfer of their products and services society, thereby contributing to improving the competitiveness of companies in its environment.

ITACA, Technology Center since November 2009, is a private nonprofit whose offer, without regard to the market, covering an area unknown for the current employer. It presents itself as an independent entity that interacts on an equal footing with companies in their environment. Many of these companies are already part of ITACA as partners, and benefit from its services. Through its Board, the companies may be present in the strategic decisions and management of the Association, ensuring the same business approach. ITACA has tripled in size over the last five years, keeping the base of affiliates and customers.

ITACA counts among its partners with public and private companies benefit from R+D and help lead the research into the demand and market needs and is now level with reference to European research centers.
